Universal Wallpaper Strategy
2017
Associate Creative Director, Art Director, Photographer, Visual Designer, Content Strategy
PROJECT OVERVIEW
As a follow on to the Sedona Wallpaper Project the concept was further developed and operationalized at a brand level for Monitors and PCs. At the time of writing this you could still see examples of this amazing photography after purchasing a new laptop, desktop, or monitor. The beautiful imagery could be seen on the packaging when it arrived at your doorstep, when you turned the system on as the default background, and online when you shopped for new products. And while the UNESCO heritage portion of the concept never made it market it was still an award winning execution that further brought Dell's brands to life and helped the customer see at a glance the difference between products.
STRATEGY AND GOAL
• Partner with United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organizations (UNESCO) World Heritage sights.
• Create a visually seamless Dell customer journey through the usage of these sceneries.
• Build consistent awareness for different franchises and brands and world heritage sights.
MY ROLE
I worked on the original concept, strategy, art direction, photography, and finally the implementation on all Dell systems across the whole company. Which line of business was assigned a wallpaper that fit the brand and was installed on the actual systems, and updated on all our digital products for online use.
The team got to travel to Canada to shoot in the national parks for 3 weeks, we hiked, we laughed, and most importantly, we had an amazing time.
| 3 weeks, 6 national parks, and a LOT of hiking
| 20+ locations in UNESCO sites
| Over 20k captured frames
| Helicopter ride and photography in the Rocky Mountains
