RoadNinja Campaign

2012

Art Director, Visual Designer, Content Strategy, Consultant, Construction

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Lamar Advertising is the leader in OOH, Digital OOH, and Transit advertising, and the Sales Team had a very tedious job of traveling, calling, emailing, and constantly trying to stay in contact with the current clients and potential future clients. They needed a way to incentivize and offer free advertising that was moving into the modern age.

MOBILE APPLICATION

I got to work with the Director of Marketing Strategy at Lamar, Tram Anderson "who would later become my wife" and who was the brains and creation of Lamar's first mobile application available on the Apple iTunes store. With this application you could use it to navigate to different locations while on the road, it could recommend places to eat, it could allow the Sales Team to offer free advertising on the platform, and shows prime locations for the best advertising locations.

| + 100k people using the application at it's peak

| 5,544 users per day

| 70,893 people using the app at least once a week

| 4,518 cities across the US

| Recognized by The New York Times, USA Today, Advertising Age, Adotas, and Appolicious

OOH BILLBOARDS

The billboard campaign strategy was created and launched in 140 locations in the US, with over 1600+ traditional and digital billboards. There were a variety of stages of advertising for example; a teaser of just the logo and countdown timer, coming soon, just the logo itself, and finally the full displays for all to download the app from the Apple iTunes store. Not only did I get to create the campaign with my future wife, but I had the unique opportunity to create the 3D extensions that were on the OOH billboards!

| Advertising in 140 markets

| 1000+ billboards

| 600+ digital displays
